Who are we?

What is this blog about? 

Once upon a blog is an educational initiative created by students from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN), focused on teaching English at the A1 (beginner) level through the use of digital resources and multimodal approaches. Its main objective is to promote language learning through creative activities that integrate text, images, audio, and interactive elements.

This blog adopts a multimodal approach to English teaching, integrating various semiotic modes such as linguistic, visual, auditory, and spatial elements to enrich the learning experience. This approach aligns with contemporary educational practices that recognize the importance of using multiple modes of communication to facilitate effective learning, especially in digital contexts.

Additionally, digital tools such as Canva and Genially are used to create infographics, and interactive activities are incorporated to showcase progress and the topics covered in class, enabling learners to improve and advance through the various activities created.

Benny and the lost ball It is a heartwarming tale about a curious boy named Benny who embarks on an adventure through his neighborhood in search of his missing ball. Along the way, he meets helpful friends and learns the value of perseverance, teamwork, and asking for help. This simple yet engaging story is perfect for young learners and serves as a springboard for language development and multimodal activities .
